Mentor Military is seeking contributions from combat veterans and active-duty military professionals for an upcoming publication, Combat Lessons Learned, in collaboration with Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Mark Gerecht.
Were you involved in an experience that changed how your unit fought, operated, sustained itself, or led under pressure? Did you develop a tactic, process, leadership approach, or innovation that saved lives or improved mission effectiveness?
We are looking for firsthand accounts and lessons learned from:
- Combat Operations
- Leadership
- Logistics & Sustainment
- Emerging Technologies
- Personnel Management
- Training & Readiness
- Any battlefield innovation that made a difference
Selected stories will become part of a professional military development resource designed to educate and inspire future generations of military leaders.
Submission Guidelines
- Include your contact information (Name, Phone/E-mail)
- Open to veterans and active-duty service members
- Contributors will write 5-10 pages. (File format: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf)

- Recognition as a published author on Mentor’s Wall of Contributors page and social media platforms
- Official Acknowledgement of Contributing/Published Author for professional development and resumes
- Contributing Author Badge for LinkedIn and professional development platforms
